Terrace at the 5th
Terrace at the 5th exudes an outdoorsy feel. That's exactly how the chef and owner Cecille Ysmael and her business partners envisioned the interiors, complete with outdoor furniture.
Start off with the CCY salad-prosciutto-wrapped mixed greens with ripe, juicy tomatoes accented by freshly peeled, tangy Valencia oranges and soft Buffalo mozzarella in honey mustard dressing. This is a roller coaster of flavours, exciting either as a starter if shared, or a meal in itself. For your main course, try the steak frites-a simple steak dish with explosive fritter flavours highlighted by a very unique sauce inspired by the chef Cecille's visit to l'Entrecôte, Paris.
If you want to take it up a notch, order some truffle oil on the side. Also try the Alaskan Dungeness crab in garlic butter sauce. It's very rich and flavourful; even the noncrab lovers will be persuaded to switch to the other side. Try the following desserts that are simply the best in town: apple pie à la mode served on a sizzling plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream clipped on the side; French crépes, a perfect balance of crème and butterscotch flavours that you cannot find elsewhere; and finally the frozen brazo-simply over the roof!
There is a selection of Sauvignon Blancs, Malbecs and Cabernets from Chile and Argentina as well as Champagne.
The menu features a broad price range. Definitely, well worth the visit.
