O'Sonho Portuguese Fusion
O'Sonho has a casual, laid-back environment where booths and tables abound. Hints of Portugal and the Mediterranean are expressed through the colour scheme and music.
With its casual, unassuming décor, people will be surprised at the quality of food the restaurant serves. The peri-peri chicken is the speciality and should be ordered first as it takes awhile to be served. The wait will not be a disappointment as the chicken satisfies diners with its crispy skin and tender meat with flavourful spices. It's a hefty portion and can feed three to four people, but don't let that stop you from ordering other things.
Enjoy the Portuguese chourico while waiting for the chicken with its almost velvety texture and hint of spices. The coffee-marinated roast pork is roasted so carefully that it is tender and falls off the bone easily. The coffee flavour is not dominant and is not overpowering for diners who are not coffee drinkers. The Jeera Meera masala lamb shows the Mediterranean influence with cumin being a dominant spice. Don't miss out on the java Toblerone mousse.
A limited selection of reds and whites is available mostly from Australia and Chile. Special attention should be given to the Portuguese wines or ports, which are to be experienced and enjoyed.
