Château 1771
Château 1771 is a French restaurant in the middle of Greenbelt 5 features a wide assortment of spectacular dishes. Start off with the sautéed scallops in a winning combination of parsley and garlic, topped with cheese. The delicate shellfish nicely contrasts with its potent accompaniments.
Follow this up with a refreshing Lyonnaise salad composed of goat cheese, romaine lettuce, a soft-cooked egg and crisp bacon which sets you nicely for the entrées. Chief among them is the decadently delicious Gruyere cheese fondue, superbly flavoured with tomatoes. Complement this with the grilled beef tenderloin hung on a metal gallow and cooked with brandy. You will be pleasantly surprised as they cook the dish tableside.
Other noteworthy dishes are the succulent prawns excellently cooked with mushroom and squash then topped with Emmenthal cheese. Old-world and new-world wines are available ranging from France, Spain and Australia as well as a variety of cocktails such as margaritas and daiquiris.
